Za’atar Sesame Crusted Squash


Description

  • 2 small squashes
  • 1/3 cup sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons za’atar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
  • olive oil or avocado oil spray 

Ingredients

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking tray with foil or spread it with oil so the squash doesn’t stick
  2. Cut the squash into 1/4-inch thick rings or wedges
  3. Mix tother the sesame seeds, za’atar, salt, and pepper into a shallow dish.
  4. Spray or dip each squash piece on each side with oil then firmly press into the za’atar mix on both sides.
  5. Arrange the squash pieces onto the baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes or until the squash is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside and enjoy!
