Tahini Honey Crisp Bars

  • 2 cups brown rice crisps
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup toasted pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup almond flour or vegan protein powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
  • Big pinch of salt
  • Flavor boosts: orange or lemon zest, splash of rose or orange blossom water
  • 3/4 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup honey


  1. In a microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the tahini and honey. Heat for 15-30 seconds until it’s warm and drippy.
  2. Add the vanilla, spices, salt, and flavorings of choice to the warmed tahini and honey, then stir.
  3. Next, add the almond flour, nuts, and rice crisps, and fold in until well mixed and a ball forms.
  4. Press the mixture into a 9×9 pan lined with parchment, allowing it to overlay on the sides.
  5. Place the pan in the fridge for 2-3 hours before removing from the pan using the parchment to pull it out. Cut into diamonds and enjoy!

Best stored in the fridge.
