Pistachio Orange Apricot Agrodolce Fried Halloumi

Almond Orange Cherry Agrodolce

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened apricots, chopped
  • 1/3 cup vinegar (i used Kosterinas Crushed Tangerine)
  • 1 large cara cara orange, juiced and zested
  • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pitted olives, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup toasted pistachios, chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey

1 block of halloumi cheese cut into 6 slices (edges trimmed)


  1. Combine all the agrodolce ingredients in a large jar and shake until combined
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium for a minute until it’s warm before adding the slices of halloumi to sear for 2-3 minutes on each side. Watch closely, they’re ready when they are soft and golden.
  3. Plate the halloumi then pour over the agrodolce on top and enjoy!
