- a protein of choice (chicken, fish, tofu, etc.)
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sumac
- 1 heaping tablespoon za’atar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
Instructions
- In a glass jar combine all the ingredients.
- Place a lid on the jar and shake till the marinade is combined.
- To a large bowl with the desired protein choice, add the marinade and let it sit for at least 20-30 minutes for cooking to develop flavor.
- Cook as desired, stovetop, bake, grill, etc.
