Crispy Spiced Chickpeas


  • 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sumac (optional)
  • 14 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons honey


  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F
  2. Lie out the chickpeas on a paper towel and pat the beans very very dry.
  3. Transfer the beans to a bowl and add the oil, honey, and spices.
  4. Once the chickpeas are fully coated, lay them onto a baking tray evenly spread out, and bake for 10-15 minutes or just until golden brown.
  5. Then turn off the heat and let them continue to cool down in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. Once they are cool enough enjoy! To store keep them in an air-tight container for 3-4 days
