Baharat Grilled Figs and Plums with Rose Goat Cheese


Ingredients

PLUMS & FIGS

  • 1015 ripe fresh figs, halved
  • 45 rip plums, halved and pits removed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon bahart spice

ROSE GOAT CHEESE

  • 4 oz chevre log, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 10 rose petals (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill, grill pan, or skillet to medium
  2. In a large bowl toss the fruit with the oil and spices then place flesh side down on the preheated grill
  3. Sear the fruit for 5-6 minutes before flipping to the skin side for another 3-4 minutes or until softened
  4. While cooking the fruit, whip together the goat cheese, rose water, honey, and salt until smooth. Lastly, fold in the rose petals
  5. Plate the grilled fruit with the dollops of goat cheese and enjoy
