Almond Strawberry Protein Bars


Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 scoops protein (I used sprout living , CAROLINE20 saves 20%)
  • 1 cup puffed rice crisps
  • 1/2 cup natural almond butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup crushed dehydrated strawberries

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl combine the dry ingredients, oats, protein, puffed rice, and dehydrated strawberries.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat combine the almond butter and honey. Stir constantly until tiny bubbles start to form and the mixture has heated up and become more melted/liquidy.
  3. Off heat, stir in the vanilla then pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir quickly, as the mixture hardens fast, and press evenly into a parchment-lined 9×9 baking pan.
  5. Place in the fridge for at least an hour, then they are ready to cut into about 8-10 bars
