Almond Orange Cherry Agrodolce Seared Scallops

Almond Orange Cherry Agrodolce

  • 1/3 cup dried unsweetened cherries, chopped
  • 1/3 cup vinegar (my favorite is red wine)
  • 1 large orange, juiced and zested
  • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pitted castelvetrano olives, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup toasted almond, chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • freshly ground pepper

12-16 scallops (2-3 servings)


  1. Combine all the agrodolce ingredients in a large jar and shake until combined
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat, pat the scallops nice and dry with a paper towel, toss in oil, a big pinch of salt, and fresh cracked pepper, and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side in olive oil
  3. Plate the scallops and pour over the agrodolce on top, optional a little bit of fresh chopped parsley on top, and enjoy!
